What does a funeral livestream involve?
Once you have decided that live-streaming the funeral or memorial service will be important for those who are unable to attend, the next step is to inform your funeral director and minister or celebrant.
Ben at BHWH Productions will then make all necessary arrangements. Having worked with many of the funeral directors in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Somerset and further afield, Ben already has well-established relationships with the team taking care of your family. Ben also continues to work with many ministers and celebrants, including those from The Church of England, the Catholic Church in England and Wales, Humanists UK and many other independent celebrants. It is these long-established relationships that sets Ben of BHWH Productions apart from many of his competition who often lack the experience in this particular field.
On the day, it's unlikely you will notice Ben and his camera. We aim for the most sensitive approach to filming, using advanced wireless technologies and thoughtful positioning of camera and equipment.
What should we expect to happen?

Why choose to livestream a funeral or memorial service?
This unique service allows families and friends from across the UK and worldwide to join together in real time to say farewell and pay their final respects to loved ones.
Ben has been involved in ceremonial events for many years. He offers a discreet and professional service to those wishing to bring together family and friends who are unable to attend through distance, health or other restrictions. Ceremonies can be broadcast live via private secure link from a variety of locations including churches, chapels, civic buildings, gravesides and any other location requested by the family.

A selection of the
Churches & Venues
BHWH Productions has recently supported
Ben continues to explore new churches and venues across the UK. We are so lucky to have the most beautiful buildings where we can gather for these occasions. It is a privilege to visit these places and continue to use them as places for communities to come together.
Below is a selection of some of those visited recently by BHWH Productions.
Canford Cemetery and Crematorium in Bristol; Arnos Vale Cemetery in Bristol; The Sanctuary, Divine Ceremony, Bristol; Malvern Priory; Wick Farm, Bath; The Mount Without, Bristol; Memorial Woodlands; St, Michael's Catholic Church, Tetbury; St Peter's Church, Clearwell; Old Church, Penalt; St Giles Church, Goodrich; The Elmgrove Centre, Redland, Bristol; Westerleigh Crematorium in Bristol and all churches within The Badminton Benefice.
St Martin's, Bremhill, Calne, Wiltshire; St Michael and All Angels, Kington St Michael, Wiltshire; St Peter's Church, Chippenham, Wiltshire; St Dogmaels, Pemrbokeshire, Wales; St George's Nailsworth, Gloucestershire; St John the Evangelist, Catholic Church, Bath; St Gregory's Church, Cheltenham; St Mary's Church, Bibury, Gloucestershire; ChristChurch, Coleford, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire; St Mary's, Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire; St Mary the Virgin, Primrose Hill, London; St Mary Magdalene Church, Cheltenham; Malmesbury United Reform Church, Malmesbury, Wiltshire, St John the Baptist, Foxham, Chippenham Wiltshire; Sacred Hearts, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire; St Andrew's Church, Chippenham, Wiltshire; St James and Christ Church, Gloucester; Holy Rood Church, Swindon, Wiltshire; St Mary's Priory Church, Monmouth, St Lawrence Church, Sandhurst, Gloucester; Holy Family Catholic Church, Swindon, Wiltshire; St Nicholas, Tackley, Kidlington, Oxfordshire.

Case Study Examples
St Stephen's Church, Cinderford, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire
An honour to be part of this truly memorable occasion. BHWH Productions provided hybrid event with multicam live-streaming to over 400 viewers worldwide, full audio systems in and outside the church.
Holy Rood Catholic Church, Swindon, Wiltshire
We captured some beautiful still images at Holy Rood, Swindon with the sunlight streaming through the striking stained glass windows.
A pleasure to attend this funeral mass in Swindon to livestream, with one of our LiveU encoders providing a fully bonded network connection. This professional streaming device combines the cellular networks that this area of Wiltshire provides one strong stable upload connection for streaming without interuption. BHWH Productions is proud to provide this technology for every livestream we do and is included in our standard pricing.
Great Malvern Priory, Malvern, Worcestershire
It is said that building work on this fabulous priory began in 1085; not long after the Battle of Hastings. The priory was built for 30 monks originally.
It was a pleasure to provide our livestream services so that family abroad could join with mourners. For this scale of building, BHWH Productions recommended a multicam setup in this beautiful area in Malvern, Worcestershire - as discreet as ever but allowing for greater immersive viewing experience through a variety of camera angles during the service.
Great Malvern Priory, Malvern
St. Martin's Church, Bremhill, Calne, Wilshire
St. Martin's Church was built c.1200 and has a square 14th century tower. BHWH Productions was able to offer new video capability; video and data transmission over fibre optic network, thanks to technology from BlackMagic Design. This is the perfect solution for various applications, in particular events that require transmission over longer distances, with secure networks. In this case, family expected large numbers of mourners to attend the service and had convenient access to the village hall situated around 250m from the church. This distance falls beyond the typical limitations of an SDI infrastructure and therefore a perfect solution was for BHWH Productions to deploy fibre optic for highly reliable and robust high definition video relay. Here we have the service taking place in St Martin's Bremhill, Calne, relayed into a village hall nearby in Bremhill, Calne.
St. Gregory's Church, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
St. Gregory's Church, Cheltenham was built in 1854 in the decorated style and designed by the famous architect Charles Hanson. It contains many beautiful stained glass windows and stone carvings. It was a pleasure to livestream from this splendid church.
The Mount Without, Bristol
A real privilege to work again with the brilliant team from Divine Ceremony at The Mount Without venue, a flexible space, full of character in the heart of Bristol. This truly was a divine ceremony created by celebrant Marie Pembridge, concluding with a 10 piece Ceilidh band, adding to this fantastic celebration of life. BHWH Productions facilitated all technical audio visual requirements and live-streamed the funeral to mourners worldwide.
The Mount Without, Bristol
St Thomas Church, St. Dogmaels, Cardigan, Wales
Alongside the Abbey ruins lies the church of St. Thomas. St Dogmaels abbey was founded in 1120. The church has links with the past with original 15th century floor tiles which can be seen in the nave. BHWH Productions brought in technical kit from the 21st century to personlise the ceremony, including visual tribute and PA, to make this a very special farewell.
St Peter's Church, Chippenham, Wiltshire
BHWH Productions often works alongside the fabulous FW Jones & Son Funeral Directors and this was another livestream of the service and burial, so that family abroad could watch in real time and pay their respects.
St. Mary's Church, Bibury, Cotswolds, Gloucestershire
This stunning church near Cirencester was built in the 11th century.
It was an honour to provide support for set-up and operation of a slideshow as mourners arrived for this service. The kit we supplied included Blackmagic Design Hyperdecks and an Epson long-throw laser projector for a highly professional and seamless visual tribute. It is important in such an historic building to ensure the setup is invisible to guests and operation is kept discreet & professional.
St Michael and All Angels, Kington St. Michael, Wiltshire
Live-streaming in this lovely church in Wiltshire so family and friends abroad could be part of the final farewell.
This area situated in a challenging zone with regards cellular coverage. Ben's specialism is attending rural venues such as this and carrying out a thorough site survey to establish the best way to livestream.
St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Bath
This livestream in the beautiful church of St. John the Evangelist, Bath, situated on the banks of the Avon, was one of the first outings for the Sennheiser EW-D systems. This delivered crystal clear wireless audio to online viewers and PA system, enabling friends and family abroad to be present in proceedings.
Funeral @ The Mount Without, Bristol
The Mount Without is a stunning venue in the heart of Bristol. I often work alongside Divine Ceremonies, (Dee Ryding) - who's main aim is to enable the celebration of a lifetime, in a way that matters most to families and friends. My role is that I provide full tech support ; in this instance was a live-stream option, enabling family and friends abroad or unable to be there in person to be 'present' in the proceedings. There is also a 'watch again' online option made available after the service. I also provided a full PA set up, mic, and engineer the playback of music - which is often so important in creating a special service for a loved one - this is done with the utmost discretion so families can concentrate on the celebration of life and not with having to manage tech and audio.
Funeral Service at Arnos Vale, Bristol
This is a beautiful Grade II listed chapel set in the heart of 45 green acres in the centre of Bristol.
My work for the family involved involved the following elements:
Livestream of the funeral service with 'watch again' option made available online
Provision of PA and vocal mic
Provision of projector screen and projector
Production of a photo tribute
Working alongsie Dee of Divine Ceremonies, it was a pleasuure to provide full tech support for this service.
Funeral Service at Wick Farm, Farley Hungerford, Bath
Livestreamed this wonderful service at this fantastic venue. Also provided PA set up for music, working alongside the fabulous Dee from Divine Ceremonies, Bristol.
My desk set up at Wick Farm
Funeral Service at St, Andrew's, Leighterton, Gloucestershire - Funeral videography and outdoor broadcast from church to marquee
Typical setup for funeral videography in churches within the Badminton Benefice:
single camera, usually positioned off-centre which is panned to capture the gathering/entrance procession, minister, readers at the lectern and pulpit (if used).
second camera - (eg. locked off wide angle) which I can then switch between
use of a variety of lavelier and fixed mics to capture high quality audio. This is all done with respect for the occasion/building and would mostly be unseen by the congregation.
equiped for long cable runs to send live broadcast to outdoor space - for this funeral, broadcast was to a 55" HD monitor.
TESTIMONIALS
"Hi Benjamin
Thank you so much for yesterday - I am sorry I never got to come and introduce myself. It was a pretty tough day as you can imagine.
Everybody said how good the live stream was and were so happy that they could be part of the service - my Brother would have been happy that his friends and family were all there with us.
Kind regards
Dee"
"Dear Ben,
The link worked perfectly and everyone who we wanted to see it did. My Mum and I also rewatched it together as we didn't really remember everything from the day, so that was lovely.
Thanks,
James"
"Dear Ben,
Thank you, very much, for the live-streaming you did of my Aunt’s funeral on Friday, at Arnos Vale. I am so sorry I didn’t get to speak with you on the day - each time I went to say hello, you were speaking with someone or something was happening!
You did a fabulous job and everyone was so grateful that you made it possible for them to attend.
Wishing you every success this year and sending my heartfelt thanks,
